Whole plant extraction

Hello,
Has anyone ever contracted with cultivators for whole plant purchases. With cultivators keeping all their trim and extracting themselves, we've seen a shortage of good trim in CA. Wondering if the numbers would make sense to purchase whole plants (cut & cured). Cultivators would want just under $600/unit, would the increased yields make sense with the current markets?
