Rusts easier, does not weld as easily. 304SS and 316SS are going to have higher corrosion and chemical resistance and their lower carbon content makes welding much easier.
I would have to check but I dont think carbon steel is "Food Grade" and even some lower quality stainless steels are not. A lot of equipment is even going past food grade into pharmaceutical grade equipment specs. Canada is pushing this out.
I am interested in extracting the alcohol from different styles of craft beer. Can anyone suggest the best piece of equipment to do this on a large scale. I E 300 gallons per batch
